Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church - Cecilia for Bonnie Dale Ray Hardy, 73, who passed away on May 16, 2024, at Camelot of Broussard.
A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Cecilia on Monday from 2:30 PM to 9:00 PM and will continue on Tuesday from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM.
A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 PM on Monday by Deacon Butch Hebert.
Rev. Gregory Cormier will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Lea Courville, Taylor Wiltz and Amber Myers. Gift bearers will be Tangie Courville, Aralyn Courville, and Raven Myers.
Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Bonnie Dale Ray Hardy, a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) dedicated her life to caring for others, passed away on May 16, 2024, in Lafayette. She was born on October 25, 1950, in Breaux Bridge.
Bonnie's journey was defined by her unconditional commitment to providing the best care possible for her patients. As a CNA, she exuded compassion and kindness in all that she did, making a positive impact on the lives of those under her care. She and her daughter, Angela attended school together to achieve their certification together.
Beyond her professional career, Bonnie was a woman of many talents and passions. She cherished the time spent with her family and friends, embodying the roles of a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend with grace and warmth. Her presence brought joy and comfort to all who were fortunate enough to know her.
In addition to her caregiving work, Bonnie found joy in simple pleasures. She delighted in printing pictures for residents to color, playing bingo, singing, dancing, coloring, working on puzzles, shopping online, reading her bible devoutly, and even ensuring that the nursing staff at Camelot carried out their duties efficiently.
Bonnie's legacy is one of love, service, and genuine connection. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of crossing paths with her.
She is survived by her sons, Frank Robert James Myers, Jr. and Mickey Wayne (Toni) Myers; daughters, Angela Myers (Philip) Courville, Tina Marie (Curt) Savoie, and Tamatha "Tammy" Marie (Hank) Taylor; grandchildren, Frank Myers III, Tyler Myers, Taylor Wiltz, Lexie Myers, Raven Myers, DJ Breaux, Clay Breaux, Sebastian Breaux, Trevor Courville, Barry Branch, Hunter Courville, Tangie Courville, Amber Myers, Allison Savioe, Braylon Savoie, and Brylon Savoie; great grandchildren, Audrey, Zayne, Gemma, Juliet, Rhede, Brees, Blackley, Laken, Briar, Saylor, Aralyn, Madyn, Kaydn, Evangeline, Weston, Emmery, Alyse, Harper, and Kaze.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Eddy and Angelle Walker Ray; husband, Frank Robert James Myers, Sr.; brothers, Bob, Lloyd, and Don Ray and Lubee Walker; and great granddaughter, "her angel" Kimber Faith Huval.
Pallbearers will be Frank Robert James Myers, III, Clay Breaux, Kaydn Lanclos, Trevor Courville, Barry Branch, and Hunter Courville.
Honorary Pallbearers will be DJ Breaux, Sebastian Breaux, Zane Wiltz, Rhede Branch, Brees Branch, Madden Lanclos, Briar Branch, Kaze Charpentier, Weston Savoie, Braylon and Brylon Savoie, and Tyler.
