Bonnie Voinche

St. Martinville - A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville for Bonnie Broussard Voinch, 69, who passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2018. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home in St. Martinville from 10:00 am until time of service on Tuesday. A rosary will be recited at 6;00 pm on Tuesday. Fr. Nicholas DuPre' will officiate at the Memorial Service. Readers will be her granddaughters, Corin Voinch, Catherine Voinch, and Christina Voinch. A private inurnment will follow at a later date. Bonnie was born April 2, 1949. She loved sports and supported her granddaughters when they played soccer and softball at Teurlings Catholic High and UL. Bonnie was very athletic and played Volleyball at USL. Bonnie was a commissioner of her precinct in Coteau Holmes. For many years, she was a great caregiver for the elderly. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her granddaughters, they were the light of her life and her pride and joy. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her son, Damon Voinch and wife Theresa; brother, Mayo J. Broussard; grandchildren, Corin Voinch, Catherine Voinch, and Christina Voinch; and her ex-husband, Pierre "Pete" Voinch. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mayo and Sorita Lasseigne Broussard.
