Arnaudville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 am on Saturday, June 29, 2019, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville for Borita Gordon Davis, 78, who passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2019. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday. A rosary will be prayed at 9:00 am on Saturday. Rev. Travis Abadie will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Borita was born in Arnaudville to the late Horace and Wilda Patt Gordon, Sr. She was a faithful and devoted parishioner of St. John Francis Regis and St. Catherine Catholic Churches in Arnaudville. Borita enjoyed going to church and playing bingo. She will be remembered for her boucheries and her cracklins. She is survived by her sons, Ronald Davis and wife Sandra, and Randall Papillion and wife Kasey; daughters, Mary Louise Davis Sam and husband James, and Mary Alice Davis Powell and husband Ernest; brother, Joseph Gerald Gordon; sisters, Gustavia Savoie and husband Pierre, Irma Steward and husband William, Mary Wilda Singleton and husband Hubert, Elizabeth Ledet, Mary Nelly Jones and husband Clarence, Sr., and Ezola Williams and husband Robert; 8 grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 7 step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Horace Gordon, Sr., mother, Wilda Patt Gordon; husband, Clarence Davis; son, Randy Davis; sisters, Anna Mae Cormier, Lucy Borel, and Beulah Williams; and brothers, Raymond, Horace, Jr., Rogers, Tony, and Alton Gordon. Pallbearers will be Ronald Davis, Randall Papillion, Christopher Sam, Kyle Sam, Dexter Powell, and Dakota Powell. Honorary pallbearers will be Whitney Cormier and Jason Cormier.
