Bowsley Quebedeaux

Arnaudville - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, August 2, 2011, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville for Bowsley 'B.J.' Quebedeaux, 67, who passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at his residence. Entombment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Rev. Brian Taylor, Pastor of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile, will conduct the services. Readers will be Alicia Quebedeaux and Sandra Quebedeaux. Gift Bearers will be Tori Richard, Amelia Quebedeaux, Stephen Quebedeaux, and Alaina Begnaud. B.J. was a machinist by trade for 40 years. He loved and cared for his wife in an unconditional manner. His family was the highlight of his life. He enjoyed working in his yard and washing his vehicles. As one would say he was 'Meticulous'. Cookouts and camping with his friends was an important part of his happiness. When a friend or family member was in need, he never knew the word 'no'. He was stern yet truthful. He was a 'Jack of all Trades' and will be missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his father, Nelson Quebedeaux, Sr.; his mother, Loretta Guidry Quebedeaux; his wife, Dolores Rivette Quebedeaux; his sons, Donovan Quebedeaux and his wife, Alicia, Brent Quebedeaux and his wife, Sandra, and Greg Quebedeaux; his step son, Jason Hebert and his wife, Lisa; his step daughter, Shontelle Richard and her husband, David; his brothers, Nelson Quebedeaux, Jr. and his wife, Geraldine, Charlie Quebedeaux and his wife, Liz, and Herman Quebedeaux and his wife, Janet; and his grandchildren, Amelia Quebedeaux, Stephen Quebedeaux, and Tori Richard. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Adea and Lucien Guidry; his paternal grandparents, Quilice and Maydell A. Quebedeaux; his godmother, Rita W. Guidry; his godfather, Holden Quebedeaux, and his niece, Hope Quebedeaux. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 7 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. A rosary will be recited by Barbara Hebert at 11 a.m. on Tuesday. Pallbearers will be Donovan Quebedeaux, Brent Quebedeaux, Nelson Quebedeaux, Jr., Charlie Quebedeaux, Herman Quebedeaux, and Dustin Quebedeaux. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Begnaud, Jeremy Knott, Evan Knott, Randy Knott, Mike Latiolais, Herbert Hebert, Rusty Pontiff, Eugene Quebedeaux, David Richard, Jason Hebert, and his godchild, Mitch Olivier. The family would like to Thank Dr. Kirk Elliot and staff, Dr. Brierre, Dr. Roden, Dr. Krawczyk, Dr. Harwood, and also Hospice of Acadiana. Special Thanks to Mayor Kathy Richard and friends.
