Brenda Lee Batiste

Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2007, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, in Breaux Bridge, for Brenda Lee Batiste, 45, who died on Monday, October 29, 2007 at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2, in Breaux Bridge. Fr. James Fallon, pastor of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, will conduct the funeral service. Brenda was a devoted Christian who loved serving her Lord by helping others. She enjoyed singing in the church choir. Her greatest love was her family, who will miss her deeply. Survivors include her mother, Mary Carol Batiste; one son, Larry Batiste; two daughters, Narra Ann Batiste and Shamorrow Batiste; one brother, Ambrey Batiste; four sisters, Mildred Batiste, Mary Ann Batiste Ames, Wanda Batiste Lewis, and Sarah Batiste Savoy, all of Breaux Bridge; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Leroy Sylvester; her daughter, Ciara Marie Batiste; her granddaughter, Alaija Danay Pierre; one brother, Leroy Joseph Batiste; and her son-in-law, John Williams, Jr. The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Friday and continue at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Friday evening. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
