New Iberia - Memorial services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, August 30, 2018, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Brenda Faye Collins, 67, who passed away on Friday, August 24, 2018, in New Iberia. A gathering of family and friends will be at Pellerin Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Wednesday, and will continue on Thursday from 8:00 am until 10:00 am. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Wednesday. Rev. Ed Degeyter will be the Officiant. A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Brenda Faye Collins was born on June 4, 1951 to Velda Delaune Collins and the late Bernice Randolph Collins. She was an LPN by trade, and enjoyed reading, watching TV, and spending time with family and friends. She is survived her mother, Velda Collins; son, Jarrod (Brandi) Collins of Youngsville; daughter, Laura Collins of New Iberia; sisters, Linda Collins of New Iberia, Susie Gros of New Iberia, Sheila (Johnny) Olivier of Catahoula, and Sandy (Buddy) Bayard of Lydia; grandchildren, Shadd Collins, Kiran Collins, Landon Derouen, Kaelynn Derouen, and Ellie Derouen.
