Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 29, 2020, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Brenda C. Thibodeaux, 60, who passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2020.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Friday and continue on Saturday at 8:00 am until 10:30 am.
A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Friday.
Fr. Stephen Pellessier will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Joy Louis and Cherry Couvillion. Gift bearers will be Deborah Savoy and Sarah West.
Brenda was born January 8, 1960 in Lafayette. She was a loving a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She loved being outside, she was either gardening or riding in her Jeep with the top down. Her family was her pride and joy, especially her two grandbabies. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Chester "CJ" Thibodeaux; sons, Colin J. Thibodeaux (Sydnie) and Jason J. Thibodeaux; brothers, Bill Couvillion (Cherry), George Couvillion (Alce), Roy Couvillion (Vickie), and John Couvillion (Angie); sisters, Cheryl Labry (Jim) and Jane Clawson (John); and her two grandchildren, Corrine Thibodeaux and Ruby Thibodeaux.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerome B. and Ruby Alice Webb Couvillion.
Pallbearers will be Bill Couvillion, George Couvillion, Roy Couvillion, John Couvillion, Brandon Ellington, and Justin Couvillion.
Honorary pallbearers will be her Godchild, Christopher Dupuis, Chad Dupuis, and Logan Labry.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Brenda’s caregivers at home and Lourdes Hospice nurses and aides for the care and support given to her.
