Bret Viator

New Iberia – A Memorial Mass will be held at 2:00 pm, on Monday, July 3, 2023, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, for Bret Gerard Viator, 63, who passed away on Friday, June 23, 2023.

Rev. Nathan Comeaux will be the Celebrant.

Visitation will be held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm, on Monday, July 3, 2023.

A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Bret was born on February 3, 1960, and was a graduate of New Iberia Senior High. He worked at Popeye’s Chicken, as a manager, and enjoyed watching sports, especially LSU and the New Orleans Saints. Bret was very free spirited and will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his mother Joyce Terradot Viator; and his sisters, Catherine Ray “Kit” Viator and M. Yvette Viator.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Viator.
