VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, February 17, 2009, in Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel, for Brock Michael Blanchard, 21, who died on Sunday, February 15, 2009. Pastor Francis Martin of Family Life Christian Church will conduct the funeral service. Brock proudly served his country in the U. S. Army, having served in "Operation Iraqi Freedom" for two tours. He was a backyard mechanic who loved fishing, hunting, riding snow mobiles, dirt bikes, and four-wheeling. Brock is survived by his loving wife of 1 year, Rebecca Sankey Blanchard, of St. Martinville; his precious daughter, Brooklyn Marie Blanchard, of St. Martinville; his mother, Rochelle Denise Blanchard, of Breaux Bridge; his father, Blaine Blanchard and his wife, Toni, of Broussard; one brother, Bryson Blanchard, of Broussard; four sisters, Jillian "Jill" Blanchard, of Breaux Bridge, Jana Blanchard, of Tuson, AZ, Kylie Johnson, of Cankton, and Amber Blanchard, of Broussard; his maternal grandparents, Wanda and Jim Kilchrist, of Scott, and Dennis Hendrick, of Clegg, TX; and his paternal grandfather, Paul Blanchard, of Breaux Bridge. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Rhena Blanchard; maternal great grandfathers, Paul Hendrick, Jr. and Clavyon Hebert; and an uncle, Paul Dennis Hendrick. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 3 p.m. until 11 p.m. on Monday and continue at 7 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
