New Iberia - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, on Saturday, May 21, 2016, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Bruce E Gardner, 50, who passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016, in New Iberia. Entombment will follow in Beau Pre Cemetery in Jeanerette. Pastor Randy Dugas will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A rosary, led by Deacon Theo Landry, will be prayed at 6:00 PM Friday. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM. A native of New Iberia and a resident Lydia, Mr. Gardner was born on November 10, 1965 to Jean Leroy Gardner and Theresa Broussard Gardner. He worked for Nabors Offshore, and he loved fishing, cutting grass, and most of all spending time with his family, friends, and his dogs, Sandi and Cricket. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Myers Gardner of Lydia; son, Rodney Guillory of Houston, Texas; brothers, Kenneth Gardner and wife Theresa of St. Martinville, Kevin Gardner of Houma; sister, Valdez Gardner Powe of Mobile, Alabama; step daughters, Joy Romero Guillory and spouse Ryan of Youngsville, Jill Romero Guillot and spouse Jason of Coteau; grandchildren, Skyla Gomez, Walter "Brud" Theriot, Brooklyn Stansbury, Brodie Stansbury, Blaze Guillory, and McKynli Guillot; great grandchildren, Jerrick Gomez, and Ashton Theriot; special friends, Blaze Duval, Trudy Rush; father-in-law; Loveless Myers of Lydia; beloved dogs, Sandi and Cricket; sister-in-law, Amy Falgout and spouse Mark of Denham Springs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Eugenia "Jenny" Myers. Pallbearers will be Ryan Guillory, Jason Guillot, Craig Duval, Tyler Duval, Walter Theriot, Brodie Stansbury, Mark Falgout, and Blaze Guillory.
