New Iberia - Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 5, 2016, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Bruce Eric Greene, 54, who passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2016, in Jacksonville, Florida. A gathering of family and friends will be at the funeral home from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Rev. Francis Davis will officiate. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Loreauville, with Military Honors by the Iberia Honor Guard. A resident of New Iberia and a self-employed Oilfield Consultant, Bruce Eric Greene was born on March 13, 1962 in Houston, Texas. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army. Bruce was a member of the Olive Branch Lodge #37, Prince Hall F and AM, where he was a 33rd Degree Mason. He was also a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Loreauville. Bruce was a loving husband and father, and a compassionate friend who will be deeply missed. Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Octavia Landry Greene; children, Hailey and Ian Greene; a brother, Wesley Greene and wife Mary; a sister, Gladys Roy and husband Todd; and an aunt, Annie Mae Thompson, all of New Iberia; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Josie and Cleveland Landry, Sr. of Abbeville. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bessie Mae Moore; and an infant son, Bruce Eric Greene, II. Pallbearers will be members of the Olive Branch Lodge #37.
