Bruno Lormand

Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. ;on Wednesday, October 12, 2011, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Bruno Lormand, 75, who passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2011 at St. Agnes Nursing Home and Rehab Center in Breaux Bridge. Fr. Michael Delcambre will officiate at the funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Stacy Broussard and Alitha Wiltz. Gift Bearers will be Jaelyn and Mya Lormand, Blake Babineaux, and Marley Thibodeaux. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Mausoleum. Mr. Lormand was an avid outdoorsman and hunter who loved horses as well. He was very involved in all aspects of the turtle meat processing industry. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Survivors include three sons, Dale Lormand, Kim Lormand and wife, Joy, and Brian Lormand and wife, Robyn; three daughters, Brunella Thibodeaux and husband, Travles 'T.J.', Dana Babineaux, and Angel LeBlanc and husband, Francis; four brothers, Joseph Lormand and wife, Lorena, Batmost Lormand and wife, Geraldine, Adrin Lormand, and Burton Lormand and wife, Theresa; three sisters, Lovena Marks, Lou Ella Olivier and husband, Remi, and Helen Broussard and husband Gary; 11 grandchildren, Travis and Trent Thibodeaux; Shelly Ordoyne, Cody, Haylie, Tyra, JaElyn, Gaige, and Mya Lormand, Carsen LeBlanc, and Blake Babineaux; and 7 great grandchildren, Marley, Mason, and Taegan Thibodeaux; Gabrielle, Alyssa, and Payton Ordoyne, and Breize Lormand. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eustache Lormand, Sr. and Helen Taylor Lormand; two brothers and one sister. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Tuesday and continue on Wednesday at 7 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Tuesday. Pallbearers will be Dale, Kim, and Brian Lormand, Travles 'T.J.' Thibodeaux, Francis LeBlanc, and Heath Babineaux. Honorary pallbearers will be Travis and Trent Thibodeaux, and Cody Lormand.
