Byron Dore

New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Thursday, February 14, 2008, at St. Marcellus Catholic Church, in Rynella for Byron Terrell Dore, 24, who died Saturday, February 9, 2008 in Iberia Parish. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Donovan Labbe will be the Celebrant. A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Byron was a cadet with Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries, and was a 2001 graduate of New Iberia Senior High. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors, and playing poker. Survivors include his wife, Jenee Delahoussaye Dore of New Iberia; parents, Randal and Eleanor Terrell Dore of New Iberia; daughter, Kali Larson of New Iberia; grandparents, Mercedes Terrell and Lona Dore both of New Iberia; sisters, Stephanie Leleux and husband Skip of New Iberia, Valerie Hebert and husband Seth of New Iberia; nieces and nephews, Jack and Ethan Leleux of New Iberia, Ella Hebert of New Iberia, and two due to arrive in February and April; wife's parents, Keith and Donna Delahoussaye of New Iberia. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Joseph R. Terrell and Willie Dore. Pallbearers include Skip Leleux, Seth Hebert, Johnny Broussard, Chad Verrett, Adam McDonald, David Boudreaux, Kip White, John Simmons, Wesley Broussard, Jared Metz, Davy Larson, Coy Migues, Coy Boutte, Steven Chambers, Grant Myers, and Keith Delahoussaye. A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday, from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM Wednesday.
