Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Thursday, October 25, 2012, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Cameron Jack (Picard) Waldron, 17, who died on Friday, October 19, 2012. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Wednesday and continue on Thursday at 7 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Wednesday. Fr. Michael Delcambre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Chance Delhomme and John Blanchard. Gift Bearers will be Natasha Clark, Adele Poirrier, and Anne Blanchard. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Cameron was a native of Breaux Bridge and was currently residing in Lafayette. He enjoyed driving his truck, going bowling, and listening to Rap music. Cameron was musically gifted with the knack of being able to play multiple instruments, which he enjoyed thoroughly. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially during his two favorite holidays, Mardi Gras and Halloween. Cameron looked forward to going to New Orleans to tour the haunted house. He is survived by his mother, Jill Picard of Lafayette; his father, Christopher Amorant of Youngsville; his maternal grandparents, Jack & Mimi Picard of Breaux Bridge; paternal grandparents, Steven & Helena Christopher Asprion of New Orleans; his paternal great grandparents, William and Beverly Christopher; his dear friend and her son, Breana and Zyi Clark of Lafayette; two uncles, David Waldron of Metairie, and Johnny Picard of Lafayette; and numerous friends from Lafayette and Comeaux High Schools and Thibodeaux Tech. He was preceded in death by his uncle, Jack Picard; his great uncle, Joe Picard; and his cousin, Jeff Picard. Pallbearers will be Dustin Blanchard, John Blanchard, Jake Graham, Kevin Blanchard, and Patrick Sinegal. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Picard, Trevor Johnson, and Chance Delhomme.
