Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Camile Earl Weber II.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4 pm until 10 pm on Wednesday, and continue on Thursday at 8 am until 1:15 pm, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia.
Camile Earl Weber II, 61, a longtime resident of Breaux Bridge died after a brief illness on November 3, 2014 at the home of his daughter in Cecilia, La.
Mr. Weber was born on October 24, 1953 in Lafayette where he was raised and educated at Cathedral, Fatima, and Lafayette High Schools. He also attended Southwestern University in Lafayette. He worked offshore in the oil industry for a number of years before starting his own general contracting business.
He was preceded in death by his mother, the former Mary Alice Stansbury, and his wife Nettie Kay Stewart. He is survived by his daughter Meagan Weber Andrepont and her husband Jude, his son Camile Earl Weber III and his wife Yoko; and grandchildren, Carsyn Brazell, Ashton, Ian, Ethan and Logan Andrepont, and Victoria and Camile Earl Weber IV. He is also survived by his father and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. Camile Earl Weber Sr. of Lafayette. Other survivors include siblings, Carl Weber of Bayou Current, Mary Alice Weber Lutz of New Orleans, Cynthia Weber Sibitsky and husband Stu of Fairbanks, Alaska, Dr. J. T. Gillespie II and wife Geralyn of Rayne, La, Christopher Gillespie and wife Kathleen of Ridgefield, Connecticut, Dr. Pat Gillespie of Washington, La., Miki Bacque and husband Dr. Frank Bacque of Lafayette, and Anne Randon of Covington, La. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Weber was a devoted husband and father. He was very proud of his children and grandchildren. One of his greatest joys was that he was born to be a grandfather. He devoted many hours and days to camping, fishing, and traveling with his family and friends. He loved outdoor activities and attained the rank of Eagle Scout during his High School years.
He was very fond of older people and young children. He loved to carry the younger ones on his shoulders and loved playing jokes on the older children. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor and the kind actions he enjoyed with family, friends and older folks.
Pallbearers for services are; Carl Weber, Dr. J.T. Gillespie, Dr. Patrick Gillespie, Christopher Gillespie, Jude Andrepont, Dr. Frank Bacque and Camile Earl Weber III.
Honorary pallbearers will be Camile E. Beau Weber IV, Ethan Andrepont, Ashton Andrepont, Logan Andrepont, and Ian Andrepont.
Scripture readers are Carsyn Brazell and Tera Simon. Gift Bearers will be Victoria Weber and Logan Andrepont. Musical Selections will be rendered by Patrick Menard and Pat Melancon.
