Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, July 13, 2013, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge, for Carlton Wayne Lyons, 65, who passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at his residence. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 3 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Friday, and continue on Saturday at 8 a.m. until 9:45 a.m., at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge. Rev. Rob Burdeaux, Pastor at Parks Baptist Church , will conduct the services. Music will be provided by Dot Schexnayder. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Wayne honorably served his country in the United States Navy. He was a member of American Legion and served on the Evangeline Baptist Association Missions development committee and in that position began the Teche Baptist Church in Breaux Bridge and served as Pastor for several years. Survivors include his wife, Darlene Frederick Lyons; his daughters, Amanda Lyons Sweat, and her husband, David, Wendi Lyons Sims and her husband, Jeremy, Kadi Anna Lyons and Kelci Hanna Lyons; his brothers, Gary Lyons, John Lyons and his wife, Daisy, and Larry Lyons; his sisters, Pauline Gaspard and her husband, Roland, Cheryl Melancon and her husband, Joe, Dora Lyons, and Annette Lyons and her husband, Randy Meaux; his grandchildren, Corey Layman, D. J. Atchley (Katelyn), Jordanne White (Rob), Trevor Atchley, Morgan Fann, Candice Jackson, Cora Sims, Samuel Sims, Jillian Sims, Aria Poulan, and another one on the way, Jorie Huval; his great granddaughters, Dakota White, Krystabella Atchley, and Brielle Layman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dave Grant Lyons and Thelma Clavier Lyons; his son, Albert 'T-Wayne' Lyons; and his brother, Grant Lyons. Pallbearers will be Charles LeBlanc, Jessie Gaudin, Joe Melancon, Randy Meaux, Kyle Frederick, and Jeremy Sims. Honorary pallbearers will be Rollie Cantu, Thomas Huval, Larry Lyons, Gary Lyons, Robby Frederick, and Stuart Frederick.
