New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM Monday, January 7, 2013 at St. Peter Catholic Church in New Iberia for Carmen LeBlanc Hernandez, 73, who died Friday, January 4, 2013, in New Iberia. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Charles Langlois will be the Celebrant. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday from 12:00 PM until 1:30 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. Born on October 4, 1939 in New Iberia, Mrs. Hernandez was the daughter of Erwin and Myrtle Robicheaux LeBlanc. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and cake decorating. She is survived by her husband, Charles J. Hernandez of New Iberia; daughter, Cathy Leger and husband Kevin of Carencro; sister, Linda Denlinger and husband Ricky of New Iberia; brother, Bryan LeBlanc and wife Joann of Memphis, TN; and granddaughter, Cara Moody. The family would like to give special thanks to Consolata Nursing Home, Iberia Medical Center, and to Heart of Hospice for their extraordinary care and support.
