St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, April 21, 2025 at Notre Dame Catholic Church honoring the life of Carol Dauphine, 78, who passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025 in St. Martinville.
A visitation will take place at Notre Dame Catholic Church on Monday from 7:00 am until the time of Mass at 11:00 am.
A Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 am on Monday morning.
Burial will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery.
Carol dedicated an impressive 42 years of his life to ARDCO Equipment, where his commitment and hard work were hallmarks of his character. As a retired professional, he remained committed to his community, known for his contributions as a 4th Degree and Grand Knight of the Knights of Peter Claver Court 53. Carol was also a member of True Friends of La Pointe and the Stone Junkies softball team. His faith was central to his life; as an active parishioner of Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville and St. Louis Mission Chapel in Parks, Carol's positive influence resonated with all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He found great joy in going dancing, spending time with family, and offering a helping hand to those in need. Carol was a loving brother, brother-in-law and uncle, who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his sister, Linda Dauphine; brothers, Lewis Dauphine, Jr. (Elizabeth) and Wilfred Dauphine; raised as siblings, Regina Charles and Barbara Stewart; brothers-in-law, Michael Kately, Ray Allen Kately, and Lesley Kately; sisters-in-law, Rita Dauphine, Augustine Dauphine, Mariah Jacob and Dena Charles; godchildren, Darlene Stewart and Jonathan Wiltz; and many loving nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Caroline Dauphine; parents, Louis Dauphine and Aurelia Joseph Dauphine; brothers, DD Dauphine, Paul Dauphine, Archille Dauphine, Gerald Dauphine, Walter Dauphine and Wilbert Dauphine; brother-in law, Charley Kately; sister, Betty Dauphine; sisters-in-law, Emily Dauphine, Barbara Dauphine, Evelyn Dauphine, Anna Dauphine, JoAnn Dauphine, Earline James, and Lonnie Willis; nephews, Kenneth Dauphine and Daniel Dauphine; nieces, Journay Dauphine and Danielle Dauphine; and godchild, Trisha Willis Jonson.
Pallbearers will be Derrick Dauphine, Terrance Dauphine, Trevor Kately, Bryan Dauphine, Deron Dauphine, Marcus Dauphine and Nolan Mallery, Jr.
The family wishes to thank Hospice of Acadiana and his nieces, Kayla Mallery, Dimitricia Dauphine-Batiste, Kyla Dauphine, Julie Dauphine and Desiree Potier and nephews, Jayvien, Delian, Malik Mallery and Kyrin for helping when needed for his care.
