VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, March 29, 2010, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Caroline Mary Kately Dauphine, 64, who passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery in St. Martinville. Fr. Augustinus Seran, SVD, will officiate at the funeral Mass. The readers will be Trisha Willis, Arletta Willis, and Dimitricia Batiste. Caroline enjoyed listening to Zydeco music, going shopping, getting her hair done all pretty, and dressing up. She loved to cook and prepare meals for family gatherings for all to enjoy. Survivors include her husband, Carol Dauphine of St. Martinville; four brothers, Michael Kately (Patricia), of Houston, TX, Ray Allen Kately (Sarella), of Humble, TX, Darrell Kately of St. Martinville, and Lesley Kately (Paulette), of Lafayette; four sisters, Augustine Dauphine (Joseph Archille), of Houston, TX, Lynie Willis (Arthur), Mariah Kately, and Denia Kately, all of St. Martinville; her special niece and nephew, Shaisley Shay Charles and Treven Trev Kately, both of St. Martinville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam Kately, Jr. and Virginia Johnson Kately; and her sister, Earline Kately. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Sunday and continue at 7 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on Monday. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Sunday. Pallbearers will be Carl James, Gerald James, Derrick Dauphine, Terrance Dauphine, Edmond Joseph, and Arthur Willis. Honorary pallbearers will be her four brothers, Michael, Ray Allen, Darrell, and Lesley Kately, Ronald Johnson, Sr., Joseph Archille, Gabe William, Wilford Dauphine, and Castille Andrus. Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
