Carolyn LaBiche Barrilleaux

New Iberia - Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 30, 2015, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in New Iberia, for Carolyn Ann LaBiche Barrilleaux , 66, who passed away peacefully surrounded by family at her daughter's home in Baton Rouge on Tuesday, May 26, 2015. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM Friday. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 8:00 AM until 9:30 AM. Msgr. Keith Derouen will be the Celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery in New Iberia. A native of Natchez, Mississippi, Mrs. Barrilleaux was born on June 19, 1948 to Emmett and Ruby Porter LaBiche, and was a graduate of New Iberia Senior High and attended the University of Southwestern Louisiana, now UL Lafayette. She retired as a clerical supervisor from the Iberia Parish Health Unit after 30 years of service, and was a devoted mother and caregiver to all. Mrs. Barrilleaux always had a beautiful smile on her face, and had a passion for rescuing pets and taking in almost anything. Her hobbies included camping, traveling, and going to the beach. She loved her two girls, but loved her "Sweeties", her four grandchildren, more. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Michael Barrilleaux of New Iberia; daughters, Chantel Heitler and husband Brian of Tampa, FL, and Chalisse LaBauve and husband Stuart of Baton Rouge; brothers, Roger LaBiche and Mitchell LaBiche and wife Tammy all of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Andre LaBauve, Carter LaBauve, Ashley Heitler, and Michaela Heitler; niece, Kim LaBiche Powell and husband Wes of Katy, TX, and a nephew, Landon LaBiche of Houston, TX. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Emmett LaBiche, Jr.. Pallbearers will be Brian Heitler, Stuart LaBauve, Brent Carline, Brian Carline, Scott Carline, and Bob Broussard.
