New Iberia - Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, August 16, 2013 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses in New Iberia, for Carroll Dean Darby, Sr., 68 who died Tuesday, August 13, 2013 in New Iberia. Born on June 28, 1945, Mr. Darby was the son of Francis and Andrea Bergeron Darby. A retired truck driver, his hobbies included ;playing with his dog, fishing, cooking, and riding his motorcycle. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Sonnier Darby of New Iberia; children, Dean Darby and wife Kay of New Iberia, Benita Barrera and husband Felix of Coteau, Bradley Darby and wife Amanda of St. Martinville; brothers, Michael Darby of Pineville, Rodney Darby of New Iberia; sisters, Frankie Hewitt and husband James of Franklin, Peggy Cormier and husband Edmond of Colorado, Charlene Johns and husband Jamie of New Iberia; 7 grandchildren.
