Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Carson Harold Guidry, 69, who passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2013, at Lafayette General Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Pellerin Funeral Home, 211 Berard St., from 7:00 am until 10:00 am on Saturday. A rosary will be recited at 8:00 am on Saturday. Rev. Joseph Campion will officiate at the funeral service. Reading the scriptures will be Charmaine Shelvin and Myra Breaux. Gift bearers will be India and Grant Guidry. Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge. Carson loved outdoor outings especially with his family, barbequing and his beer. He played the drums and guitar; he enjoyed his music and dancing. He liked to go fishing and loved spoiling his grandkids. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Landry Guidry, sons, Carson Mark (Rachel Lawrence) Guidry and Reginald Jermaine (Jeanette Batiste) Guidry; brother, Leo Guidry; sisters, Jean Shelvin and Josephine Dugas; grandchildren, Grant, India, Asia, Hannah and Chance Guidry; brothers-in-law, Ricky Landry, Michael Landry and Lester Landry; sisters-in-law, Joann (Leo) Stewart, Juanita (Greg) Carter, Nancy Landry, Norma (John) Dural, Rose Mercier, Kathy (Joe) Johnson and Laure (Leo) Pitte; godchildren, Kathy Landry Johnson and Lyle Pitte. He is preceded in death by his parents , Leonard and Elizabeth Williams Guidry; infant daughter, Kissi Guidry; brothers, Preston, Wilson, Curley, Billy, Joe and Shefton Guidry; sisters, Viola Faulk and Piola Daniel; brothers-in-law, Larry Landry and Edward Mercier. Pallbearers will be Lyle Pitte, Charles Shelvin, Terry Landry, Kim Faulk, Chad Guidry and Bradford Landry. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Landry, Michael Landry, Leo Stewart, Leo Pitte, Leo Guidry and John Dural.
