Lydia – A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at The Pentecostals of Lydia Church, for Casey Louis Derouen, 66, who passed away peacefully, at his residence, on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. 

Entombment will follow in Beau Pre Cemetery, in Jeanerette. 

Rev. Ronnie Perkins will officiate. 

Visitation will be Monday, from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm, at Pellerin Funeral Home, and will continue Tuesday, from 9:00 am until 12:15 pm. 

A prayer service, with Rev. Ronnie Perkins and Rev. Stephanie Leleux officiating, will be held Monday evening at 6:00 pm, at Pellerin Funeral Home. 

A native and lifelong area resident, Mr. Derouen was born on August 25, 1958, to the late Beverly Louis Derouen and Ora Mae Autin Derouen. He retired as a boat captain, from Tidewater Marine, with over 36 years of service, and was a member of the Pentecostals of Lydia Church. Mr. Derouen enjoyed cutting grass, fishing, and going to the casino. However, his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and taking care of his dogs, “Dude”, “Hunter”, and “Jacob”. 

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Tina Marie Moore Derouen; children, Brock Derouen, Jonathan Derouen (companion, Erin Folse), Brandi Derouen Alleman (Jake), Bethani Landry (Drake), Brittani Stanley (Jeromey), and Brette Chauvin (Bobby); grandchildren, Brynne Elizabeth Boudreaux, Sadie Claire Simar, Noah James Derouen, Hayden Joseph Derouen, Evan Gregory Green, Ava Victoria Alleman, Bayen Patrick Baranco, Brennen Louis Baranco, Brianna’ Marie Derouen, Peyton Glen Stanley, Casen Gabriel Stanley, Gavyn Thomas Chauvin, and Grace Lynn Chauvin; sister, Meda Derouen Stevens (George); and his godchild, Jimmy Anslem. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Joseph Anslem; sister, Cynthia Close Prejean; wife’s parents, Amar Moore and Bea Moore Pellerin; and lifetime friends, Lloyd Pisani and Wade LeBlanc. 

Pallbearers will be Brock Derouen, Jonathan Derouen, George Stevens, Hayden Derouen, Gavyn Chauvin, and Noah Derouen. 

Honorary pallbearers include all his grandchildren, sons-in-law, Todd Landry, and V.J. Autin. 

The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. P. Loyolka of Houston, Texas; DCI Kidney Care of New Iberia, and Fresenius Kidney Care of Lafayette, for their care and compassion.
