Cassie Rodrigue Indest

New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 7, 2017, at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church in New Iberia for Cassie Rodrigue Indest, 90, who passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, in Abbeville. Entombment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Rev. Mario Romero will be the Celebrant. A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM Thursday. Visitation will continue on Friday from 8:00 AM until 10:15 AM. A native of Avery Island, Mrs. Indest was born on September 28, 1926 to the late Lawrence and Celina Leleux Rodrigue. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Indest was a member of the New Iberia Garden Club and the Mother's Club at Catholic High. Survivors include her daughter, Katie LaBauve and husband Keith of New Iberia; son, Eric Indest and wife Kathy of New Iberia; grandchildren, Matthew LaBauve and wife Patrice, Thomas LaBauve and wife Laurie, Michael LaBauve, David LaBauve, Brooke Hoogendoorn and husband James, Lindsay Fontenot and husband Mike, Jeremy Indest; and 10 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ralph H. Indest, and a brother, Calvin Rodrigue. Pallbearers will be Matthew LaBauve, Thomas LaBauve, Michael LaBauve, David LaBauve, Jeremy Indest, and Joey Rodrigue.
