Catherine Dupuis Brasseaux

Henderson - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 28, 2006, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson for Catherine Dupuis Brasseaux, 56, who died Monday, December 25, 2006 at St. Agnes Nursing Home in Breaux Bridge. Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery in Henderson. Catherine was a 1967 graduate Our Lady of Fatima and of Spencer Business College. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson, where she counted the weekly church offerings and was a member of the Ladies Altar Society. Her favorite hobbies were needlepoint, crocheting and reading. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include her parents, Wade and Anita Dupuis of Henderson; her brother, Carl Dupuis and his wife, Patricia of Mesa, AZ; her sisters, Jacki Boone and Dan Chastant of Lafayette, Irene Moore and her husband, Jeff of Lafayette and Carolyn Fruge and her husband, Gus of Henderson; three grandchildren, Kylee, Kenedy and Alex; her nephews, Brady Boone, Ben Dupuis and Barrett Payne; her nieces, Amanda Dupuis and Kayla Fruge; and her great nieces, Alyssa Dupuis and Brianna Payne. She was preceded in death by her son, Billy James Brasseaux; her first husband, James Brasseaux; and her second husband, Carl Leonpacher. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:00 a.m. on Thursday and continue until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. Pallbearers will be Carl Dupuis, Ben Dupuis, Gus Fruge, Brady Boone, Barrett Payne and Jeff Moore. Honorary pallbearer will be Danny Chastant.
