Catherine Folse Colvin

New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 2, 2007, at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church, in New Iberia for Catherine Folse Colvin, 87, who died Tuesday, January 30, 2007, in a New Iberia hospital. Interment will be in Holy Family Cemetery, in New Iberia. Rev. Mike Arnaud will be the Celebrant. Readers include her granddaughters Rachel Waguespack and Natalie Colvin. Robbie Dale David and Herman Gesser, Jr. will serve as gift bearers. Mrs. Colvin was a bookkeeper for her father's lumber yard. She enjoyed gardening, designing floral arrangements, and traveling. She was a past member of the New Iberia Garden Club and the Homemaker's Club. Survivors include her sons, William Colvin, III and wife Cindy of Lafayette, Wayne Colvin and wife Gale of Lafayette; daughters, Cheryl Boudreaux and husband Robert of Thibodaux, Phyllis Carlyon and husband Pat of New Iberia; sisters, Stillman Gesser of New Iberia, Nola Fortier of New Iberia; 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Colvin, Jr.; parents, Edgar and Rita Bayard Folse; sister, Julian Watermeier; brothers, Jeffrey Folse, Wofford Folse, Edgar Folse, Jr. A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM Thursday. Visitation will continue Friday from 10:00 AM until time of service. Honored to serve as pallbearers are her grandsons, Bobby Boudreaux, Billy Boudreaux, Billy Colvin, Jason Colvin, Clay Colvin, Andrew Colvin, and Joey Delahoussaye.
