Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, September 23, 2010, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Catherine Jane 'Kitty' Guidry LeBlanc, 71, who passed away on Monday, September 20, 2010 at J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home in Arnaudville. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Henderson. Fr. Floyd Calais will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Yvonne Huval and Randi LeBlanc. Gift Bearers will be Rae and Jason Guidry. Kitty worked as a bus driver for the St. Martin Parish School Board; driving her school bus brought her great joy each and every day. She was gifted with numerous talents, such as sewing, which was very relaxing for her, and she was also a wonderful florist. Each year she demonstrated her decorative skills by beautifully decorating her home and yard to commemorate her most favorite holiday of all, Christmas. Having her family over every year for Christmas brought great joy to her - they treasured the many special times together and those memories will never be forgotten. Kitty enjoyed having visitors over at her home and loved to play the card game, 'Euchre' with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by her family, many friends, and all those who had the honor and priviledge of knowing and loving her. Survivors include her husband, Gary Jones LeBlanc of Cecilia; one son, Dutz Anthony LeBlanc and his wife, Margaret, of Cecilia; two daughters, Penni LeBlanc Guidry and her husband, Andrew, of Bridge City, TX, and Charee LeBlanc Theriot and her husband, Kerwin, of Cecilia; her brother, Gil Guidry, and her sister, Diane Hebert and her husband, Francis, all of Henderson; and her grandchildren, Randi Lee LeBlanc, Selleck Thomas LeBlanc, Rae Marie Guidry, Jason Andrew Guidry, Benjamin Paul Theriot, and Kathryn Grace Theriot. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Etta Bijeaux Guidry; a son-in-law, Randy Lee Guidry; and her godchild, Tyler Francis Hebert. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 12 noon until 9 p.m. on Wednesday and continue on Thursday at 7 a.m. until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Wednesday evening. Pallbearers will be Selleck LeBlanc, Link Hebert, Kerwin Theriot, Andrew Guidry, Erral LeBlanc, and Francis Hebert. Honorary pallbearer will be Gil Guidry. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
