Henderson - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson to honor the life of Cecile J. Robin, 88, who passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025 at her residence.
A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 from 4:30 pm until 9:00 pm. It will continue on Wednesday from 7:00 am until 9:30 am.
A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Tuesday evening by Deacon Marcel "Butch" Hebert.
Father Michael Richard will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery.
Cecile was the devoted wife of her late husband, with whom she co-owned and operated Robin's Lumber Yard and Cajun Seafood Distributors. Together, they built not only a successful businesses but a life filled with laughter and shared memories. Known for her unwavering dedication to her family, Cecile embodied tenacity and warmth.
A nurturing soul, Cecile adored her family deeply and found immense joy in spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her cooking brought her family and friends together. Whether it was sharing meals or playing cards or pokeno, Cecile's home was a sanctuary of love and laughter.
Cecile was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her children, Patty Robin Girouard, Earl Robin (Tina), Danny Robin (Joanie) and Elizabeth Robin Johnson (Carey F.); son-in-law, Robert "Tooby" Guidry; grandchildren, Danielle Guidry Broussard, Nicholas Guidry, Vince Gary, Derrick Robin, Anthony Robin, Lilly Robin, Buddy Robin, Lacey Robin, Barry Neal Guidry II, Mary Johnson Smith, Neil Murphy, and Maureen Biddle; 14 great grandchildren; brother, Allen Johnson; sisters, Bursey Montet, Mary Huval and Lydia Huval; and sisters-in-law, Barbara “Pug” Johnson and Charlotte Johnson.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Norman "Boy" Robin; daughter, Katie Robin Guidry; daughter-in-law, Clara Robin; son-in-law, Thomas "Tommy" Girouard; grandsons, Marcus Guidry and Dax Gary; parents, Whidley Johnson and Sadie LeBlanc Johnson; and brothers, Lawrence Johnson, Andy Johnson and Adley Johnson.
Pallbearers will be Nicholas Guidry, Barry Neal Guidry II, Jamie Broussard, Robert "Tooby" Guidry, Carey F. Johnson and Derrick Robin.
Honorary pallbearers will be Curtis Robin, Thomas Guidry, and Ryan Broussard
