Cecile "Sis" Blanchard Thibodeaux

Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, September 13, 2024, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Cecile "Sis" Thibodeaux, 63, who passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at her residence. 

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge on Friday from 7:30 am until 2:30 pm. 

A Rosary will be prayed at 11:30 am on Friday morning. 

Father Reed Bellingham will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Kaylin Thibodeaux and April Albert. Gift bearers will be Jordyn Thibodeaux, Kaylin Thibodeaux, Cadence Marceaux and Brynn Thibodeaux. 

Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery #2 in Breaux Bridge. 

Cecile, affectionately known as "Sis", was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Karl "Rab" Thibodeaux for 41 beautiful years. Sis found joy in simple pleasures, such as fishing, cooking, listening to Elvis Presley, and caring for her beloved cats. She loved to take pictures of any and everything and she found solace in tending to her flower beds and maintaining her lawn.

Cecile was a skilled seamstress at Martin Mills for nearly two decades. Alongside her professional endeavors, she cherished family gatherings and took delight in decorating for holidays, bringing warmth and joy to those around. Known for her love of cardinals and hummingbirds, she loved to observe and take pictures of them. Cecile was also an avid Saints fan. Above all, she adored her family endlessly and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. 

She is survived by her husband, Karl "Rab" Thibodeaux; son, Teddy Thibodeaux (Brandy); daughter, Katina Patrice Thibodeaux; brothers, Roy Blanchard (Beth), Gary Blanchard (Sally) and Ricky Blanchard; brother-in-law, Gerald Bonin; sisters, Melissa Noel (James) and Cindy Guidry (Eric); grandchildren, Jordyn Thibodeaux (Alana), Kaylin Thibodeaux (Hunter), Jean-Paul Neck, Alexander Neck and Ty Kuiper; great-grandchildren, Brynn Thibodeaux and Cadence Marceaux; and godchildren, April Albert and Clara Mendoza. 

She is preceded in death by her father, LeeRoy "T-Neg" Blanchard; mother, Betty Hollier Blanchard; step-mother, Rita Blanchard; sister, Sandra Hebert; parents-in-law, Mildred and Ignance Thibodeaux; sister-in-law, Cindy Bonin; brother-in-law, Conrad Thibodeaux; and niece, Erica Thibodeaux. 

Pallbearers will be Teddy Thibodeaux, Jordyn Thibodeaux, Jean-Paul Neck, Alexander Neck, Ty Kuiper, and Dwarren Olivier. 

Honorary Pallbearers Roy Blanchard, Gary Blanchard, Ricky Blanchard, Danny Hebert, Eric Guidry, Michael Kuiper, Hunter LeBlanc, Dusty Albert, and Garret Blanchard.
