Celina 'Sue' Pellerin Badeaux

New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, July 27, 2018, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church New Iberia in New Iberia for Celina Sue Pellerin Badeaux, 89, who passed away on Monday, July 23, 2018, in Cade. Entombment will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery. Rev. Keith Landry will be the Celebrant. The readings will be proclaimed by Lynne Delcambre Crochet and Kirk E. Pellerin. Gift Bearers include Sybil Barras Williamson and Steven A. Barras. Musical selections will be performed by Karen Henry Guidry and Stephanie James Hoffpauir. A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home. A rosary, led by Rev. Keith Landry, will be prayed at 6:30 pm Thursday, followed with eulogies by Cynthia Pellerin Elmer and Jaylene Bourque Grow. Visitation will continue on Friday from 8:00 am until 9:30 am. A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Badeaux was born on September 9, 1928 to the late Edmond and Feliciane Hebert Pellerin. She was a retired school teacher, having taught at Pesson Elementary and North Lewis Street Elementary Schools, and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Mrs. Badeaux enjoyed playing tennis, playing cards, and spending time with her family and many friends. Survivors include her daughters, Karen Anne Badeaux of New Iberia, Phyllis Badeaux Garza-Druilhet and husband Robert of New Iberia, Renee Badeaux Poole of New Iberia, Teri Badeaux Guidry and husband Robert of New Iberia; sister, Bertha Delcambre of New Iberia; 14 Grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Leonard Badeaux; sisters, Flo Barras and Gladys Grow; brothers, Willis Pellerin and Wilton Pellerin; sons-in-law, Ramiro Garza and Larry Poole; granddaughter, Jillian Garza. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jeffrey W. Garza, Richard L. Tate, Robert P. Tate, Stephen A. Tate, Jonathan R. Garza, and Robert J. Guidry. Honorary pallbearers include her granddaughters, Becky Tate Arnaud, Julianne Garza DeSoto, JoAnna Guidry Kitchens, Jessica Garza McGarr, Rachel K. Guidry, Celina B. Poole, and Devon R. Poole.
