St. Martinville- A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm, Saturday, September 3 at Notre Dame Catholic Church for Chandler David "Smiley" Quinney, 11, who passed away on Tuesday August 23, 2022.
A visitation will take place at the funeral home in St. Martinville on Saturday, September 3rd, from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm.
A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 am on Saturday.
Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Mausoleum.
Smiley, or Superman as he was often called by his family, was known for wearing bow ties and hats as well as building with Legos. He loved dogs and was very excited to meet his new puppy, Zeuz. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving parents, Mark and Shontell Valsin-Quinney; siblings: his twin brother, Chance Anthony Quinney, Danielle Sanchez, Chase Francis Quinney, and Carrington Francine Quinney; paternal grandparents, Patricia and Fred Wesley; aunts, Carla Valsin, Tammy Valsin, JaQuanda Quinney, and Antoinette (Preston) Powell; and his uncle, David (Kenya) Quinney.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Joseph Eaglin II; maternal grandparents, Francis and Mary Ann Valsin; paternal grandfather, Dave Quinney; and his aunt, Francine Valsin.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Benjamin, Devin Broussard, David Quinney, Jason Singleton, Jamaal Parker, and Courtney Dugas.
