Charles Joseph Girard

New Iberia - A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 2 2008, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, in New Iberia for Charles Joseph Girard, 73, who died Thursday, June 26, 2008 in Lafayette. Entombment will follow in Holy Family Mausoleum. Rev. Jerome Frey will be the Celebrant. Mr. Girard is retired from the City of New Iberia. He enjoyed working puzzles and riding his bicycle. Survivors include his wife Peggy Girard of New Iberia; son, Stafford Stutes of New Iberia; daughter, Rayette Girard of New Iberia; brothers, Gerald, Eli, and Percy Lee Girard all of New Iberia; sister, Evelyn Marshall of Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents, Morse and Marie Hoffpauir Girard; brothers, Julian and Leroy Girard; sister, Gail Girard Picard. Donations may be made to Mr. Girards family.
