Charles McLean

New Iberia Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM , Friday, March 29, 2012, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Charles H. McLean, 79, who died on Tuesday, March 26, 2013, in Lafayette. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Rob Longmier will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday from 3:00 PM until time of service. Born on February 13, 1934, Mr. McLean worked offshore most of his life for Teledyne Moveable Offshore, and then for Baker MO. After retiring, he then worked for Consolata Nursing Home for many years. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His smile would light up any room that he entered. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Lucy Dore McLean of New Iberia; daughters, Cleo McLean of New Iberia, Charlena 'Galoo' McLean and Mark Blaze of New Iberia, Carlie 'Squid' Maturin and husband Michael of New Iberia, Charlotte Wells of Groves, Texas; sister-in-law, Stella Casale and husband Bob of Lake Jackson, Texas; grandchildren, Jerry Meyer, Charley Alleman and friend Trent Sonnier, Chassity Maturin; great grandchildren, Kelly Hall, Skylar Darby, Arturo Darby, Kaelum Sonnier, Kenzie Sonnier, Aiden Sonnier, and Carlito Maturin; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents, Cleo and Inez Boudreaux McLean; sisters, Blanche Hanson and husband Mike, Joy Hebert and husband Lawrence, Cleo Lee and husband Jimmie; granddaughter, Monique Meyer; wifes parents, Olive and Etienne Dore; brothers-in-law, Freddie Dore, George Dore, Jerry Dore, Frances Dore; sisters-in-law, Beulah Theriot, Vueola Gary, Hazel Tate, Mildred Kulify; son-in-law, Andrus 'Nookie' Alleman. Pallbearers will be Mike Maturin, Mark Blaze, Anthony Theriot, Butch Dore, Donald Gary, and Terry Dore.
