New Iberia - A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 am, on Saturday, October 17, 2015, at Highland Baptist Church in New Iberia, for Charles Allen Miller, 64, who passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2015. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Highland Baptist Church in New Iberia from 10:45 am until 11:30 am on Saturday. Pastor David Denton will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery in New Iberia. Mr. Miller enjoyed playing golf, water and snow skiing with the family, and flying small engine planes. He cherished moments spent with family and friends, and will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. It was always an importance to Mr. Charles to instill Christian education into his grandchildrens daily life. He is survived by his loving spouse Linda Branscum Miller; sons, Travis Miller of New Iberia and Clayton Miller and fiancee' Sara Schlosser of New Iberia; sisters, Julie Shirley and husband Dossie of Odessa, TX and Paula Troxell and husband Douglas of Antlers, OK; three granddaughters, Charlee Miller, Evie Miller, and Kamryn Miller; two grandsons, Colton Miller and Kade Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents, Doris Miller Rice and Charles G. Rice; his uncle who raised him, Rev. Paul Miller and Granny Sally; father in law, Vernon Branscum; mother in law, Lucille Branscum. Pallbearers and Honorary Pallbearers will be family and friends. Memorial contributions can be made in Mr. Charles memory to Highland Baptist Christian School, 708 Angers Street, New Iberia, LA 70563.
