Arnaudville - Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, July 14, 2011, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville, for Charles Carroll Olivier, 49, who passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2011. Fr. Lloyd Benoit will officiate at the funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Tabatha Kidder and Chelsea Richard. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery. Charles worked as an instrumental panel technician for A.P.I. for many years. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and also loved to cook. Survivors include his son, Cody Carriere and wife, Casey; three sisters, Arlene O. Richard and husband, Shane, Theresa O. Kidder and husband, Ronnie, and Della O. Pontiff and husband, Luke, Jr.; three nieces, Jamie Roberson, Tabatha Kidder, and Chelsea Richard; two nephews, Jordi Olivier and Carlo Olivier; one great niece, Laikyn Richard; two great nephews, Cohen Roberson and Talen Olivier; and his godchild, Dustin Kidder. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Anthony Olivier and Elaine Marie Benoit Olivier; his nephew, Lance Michael Richard; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clement Benoit; and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Olivier. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Wednesday and continue on Thursday at 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Wednesday. Pallbearers will be Cody Carriere, Jordi Olivier, Carlo Olivier, Joshua Roberson, Luke Pontiff, III, and Robert Lanclos. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Melancon and Dustin Kidder.
