Cecilia – Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cecilia for Charles Edward Robertson , 56, who passed away on Friday, November 30, 2018, at .
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 8:30 am until 10:30 am on Saturday.
Rev. Gregory Cormier will officiate at the funeral service. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cecilia.
Charles Edward Robertson was born to Medolia and Jim Robertson on August 19, 1962 in Houston, Texas.
Charles was a dedicated deckhand both on and offshore oil rigs for over 25 years in which he absolutely loved. He was also a very crafty handyman. He could build anything out of nothing with a hammer and nails. He was a real-life cowboy who enjoyed trail rides, Zydeco and maintaining the Cross Creek Family Ranch where he spent most of his time. He was indeed the life of the party. He had a personality that could brighten anyone’s day. While he was tough on his family, there was one thing we all knew for sure; he loved us all dearly and there wasn’t anything in the world he wouldn’t do for us.
He leaves to cherish his memories his parents, Jim and Medolia Robertson, wife Contessa Davis Robertson, son Antonio Charles Robertson, daughters Ashley Arlett Robertson, Aliyah Cassaundra Robertson and Brandy Lynn Banks, 4 grandsons; Tayson Sierra, Derek Moreno, Jr., Dacari Moreno, Jacobi Woods and 1 granddaughter, Kaylen Fontenot; sister Felecia Renee Robertson, brother Nicholas Maurice Robertson, special dear friend, Janet LeBlanc, goddaughter Florence LeNette Roy, godparents Mildred Phillips and Joseph Clifton Babineaux and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Charles was preceded in death by his son Jacobi Lee Broussard, brother Willis Michael Robertson, Sr., maternal grandparents Gaston and Florence Babineaux, paternal grandparents Inez and Lucky Robertson, Sr., and mother-in-law Arlett Hilda Hall-Davis.
Pallbearers will be Derrick Frederick, Toicy Babineaux, Dylan Robertson, Edward Babineaux, Stephan Davis, and Jeremy Carmouche.
Honorary pallbearers will be Antonio Robertson, Clifton Babineaux, Gaston Babineaux, Jason E. Robertson, Andrew Babineaux, Wilton Babineaux, Willis M. Robertson, Jr., Nolan Babineaux, Joshua D. Robertson, and Brooks Babineaux.
