Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3:30 pm on Thursday, December 19, 2019, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Chayce Michael Gobert, 26, who passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2019. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:00 am until 3:00 pm on Thursday. A rosary will be prayed at 1:00 pm on Thursday. Rev. Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Wanda Olivier and Heather Rebert. Gift bearers will be Sandi Gobert and Sadie Wiltz. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Chayce was known by many for his loving and great personality. He worked as a medical assistant and cared for the elderly. Chayce was a car fanatic, and enjoyed cooking, traveling, and eating out. Family was everything to him and he cherished moments spent with them. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his mother, Emilean Courville and husband Ronnie; sisters, Sandi Gobert and Brittany Gobert; maternal grandmother, Jeanette Theriot Courville; step grandfather, Rogers Courville; fiancé, Ty Lange; and his beloved dog, Bruiser. He was preceded in death by his father, Bryan Gobert; paternal grandparents, Eldridge and Norma Jean Gobert; and maternal grandfather, Dunice Theriot. Pallbearers will be Terry Rebert, Ray Rebert, Layke Rebert, Braygon Rebert, Hunter Olivier, and Blake Olivier. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul "Dupy" Theriot and Dennis Theriot.
