Breaux Bridge - A Memorial Services will be held for Cheryl Guidry, 66, who passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025.

The dance community is invited to a dance memorial at 1:00 PM on Sunday at Vermilionville's Bal du Dimanche. There will be a additional service for family and friends Saturday, January 25th, at a time and location to be announced later.

Her spirit and vivacity made her a cherished member of her community. A lover of Zydeco music, Cheryl could always be found on the dance floor, sharing her infectious joy for life through her moves and laughter. Cheryl graduated from Cecilia High School, where she not only excelled academically but also proudly served as a cheerleader. Known fondly as the "Cajun Carol Burnett," she had a knack for making people laugh with her quick wit and vibrant personality.

She is survived by her husband Bill Perkins; daughter, Annie Perkins; siblings, Larry (Jamie) Guidry, Tony Guidry, and Margaret (Dale) Trahan; nieces and nephews, Karen Trahan, Kelly Trahan, Michelle Guidry, Mathew Guidry, Kate Guidry, Jacy Guidry, Darby Griffin, Holly Guidry, Tyler Guidry, Travis Guidry, Trey Guidry, Lainie Guidry, and Madison Guidry; and her godchild, Remy Paul Guidry.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul "Blanco" and Rita Willis Guidry; and her brothers, Mike Guidry, Jimmy Guidry and Tommy Guidry.
