Cheryl "Poodie" Boudreaux

St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, July 23, 2020, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Cheryl "Poodie" Boudreaux, 65, who passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2020, at Lafayette General Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 8:30 am until 1:45 pm on Thursday. A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 am on Thursday. Rev. Nicholas DuPre' will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Cheryl, known to many as "Poodie," was born was March 12, 1955. She owned and operated TRA Courier for many years. Poodie enjoyed playing Bourre', cooking and spending time with her family. She had a special love for children and loved spoiling them all. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her significant other, Tina M. Douet; four children, Morgan Douet, Kimberli Ann Boudreaux, Kailey Renee Boudreaux and Ryan Courville; grandchild, Ellee Grace Vallier; two godchildren, Shannon (Patricia) Comeaux and Taylor (Evan Marceaux) Boudreaux; two brothers, Tibby (Angela) Boudreaux and Troy Boudreaux; one sister, Annette (Andy Kulka) Chaisson; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Wesley Boudreaux; mother, Merley McGee; two brothers, Gerald Boudreaux and Ricky Boudreaux; and sister, Delores Comeaux. Pallbearers will be Tibby Boudreaux, Troy Boudreaux, Shannon Comeaux, Tony Douet, Troy Douet and Lance Menard. Honorary pallbearer will be Andy Kulka.
