Chester Babb

Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m.,Saturday, ?January 20, 2007, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge for Chester Joseph Babb, 77, who died Thursday, January 18, 2007 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Services will be conducted by Rev. Bob Woods. Mr. Babb worked a total of 60 years in the oil field industry before his retirement. Survivors include his wife, Alaida Allemond Babb; his daughter, Barbara B. Belaire and her husband, Lennard; his sons, Lloyd Babb, Raymond Babb and his wife, Shirley, and Danny Babb and his wife, Cynthia, all of Breaux Bridge, his sister, ?Mable Bergeron of Rayne, 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ramsey and Edesse Huval Babb; his brother, Loiton Babb and his sister, Carrie Guidry. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm Friday, January 19, 2007 and continue at 8:00 am Saturday until time of service. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
