Chester Dural

Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 31, 2006, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cecilia for Chester "Poom" Dural, 51, who died Thursday, July 27, 2006 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Interment will be in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cecilia. Mr. Dural was employed with Baker Hughes for 30 years and enjoyed his work. He loved dancing to Zydeco music and watching football. He had a big heart and loved spending time with his family, children and friends. Survivors include his wife, Tephanie J. Dural of Lafayette; his mother, Mable B. Dural of Cecilia; his sons, Brett F. Dural and Brock Dural; his daughter, Brittani Dural; his step daughter, Breeya McCoy, all of Lafayette; his brothers, Joseph Gerald Dural, Sr. and his wife, Joyce of Shreveport and Harry Dural and his wife, Chandra of Lithonia, GA; his sisters, Alvertha D. Pierce and Rita Dural, both of Cecilia; his uncle, Arthur Dural of New Iberia; his friend Georgia Arceneaux and her children, Kayla, Bertha and Lawrence, all of Henderson; his mother-in-law, Dianna Johnson of Houston, TX; his brother-in-law, Aldrick Johnson of Houston, TX and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Chestley Dural; his grandparents, Elvoida Mouton Broussard, Joseph Broussard, Elva Gordon Dural and Clay Dural; and several aunts and uncles. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 3:30 p.m. ~ 10:00 p.m. on Sunday and continue at 7:00 a.m. on Monday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
