Chris A. LaBauve

New Iberia - Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, September 7, 2018, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Chris A. LaBauve, 64, who passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2018, in New Iberia. A gathering of family and friends will be at Pellerin Funeral Home from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Friday. Rev. Travis Brice will be the Officiant. Entombment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Delcambre. A native of Houma and a longtime resident of New Iberia, Chris was born on July 24, 1954, and was a 1973 graduate of New Iberia High School. A very talented welder, Chris retired from Chart Industries at the Port. He was an avid LSU and Saints fan, enjoyed fishing, yardwork, and gardening, and was an excellent cook (especially soup, fried fish, and BBQ). He was a wonderful son, an incredible brother and will be deeply missed. Chris is survived by a daughter, Renee LaBauve of Oklahoma; sisters, Leah A. Ellender of Slidell, and Angela LaBauve of St. Martinville; half-brother, Coy (Danette) LaBauve of Houma; a half-sister, Leslie (Chuck) Martin of Houma; father, Denison (Erna) LaBauve of Houma; aunts, Merle Gary (Barney) Bernard of New Iberia, and Carol A. Rogers of Broussard; and an uncle, Hawley (Verna) Gary, Jr. of New Iberia. He was preceded in death by his mother, Fay Elaine LeBlanc LaBauve.
