Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 9, 2019, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cecilia for Christiana Richard Sinegal, 77, who passed away on Monday, February 25, 2019.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:00 am until 10:30 am on Saturday.
Rev. Gregory Cormier will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Rhondale Barras. Gift bearers will be Tavon Sam and Kinley Celestine.
Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cecilia.
Christiana was born on May 3, 1941 in Arnaudville to the late Joseph and Marie Clothilde Doucet Richard. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing bingo, video poker, and cooking. Christiana will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her significant other, CB Gatson; sons, Perry Richard and wife Aime, Kristopher Richard and wife Gaylyn, and James Arceneaux and wife Bertha; daughters, Pearla Watson and husband Aaron, Taffy Arceneaux and husband Jonathan, and Ashley Celestine and husband Lucas; grandchildren, Charles Edward Rutley, II, James Francis, Ryan Perry Watson, Cameron Elijah Watson, Megan Richard, Kyra Sam, Tavon Sam, Tegon Sam, and Kiala Richard; great grandchild, Charles Edward Rutley, III; and a host of nieces, nephews and loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph "Samuel" Central Richard; mother, Marie Clothilde Doucet; brothers, Irving Richard, Rogers Richard, James Richard, Herbert Richard; and sisters, Doris Barras, Ethel Mary Lewis, and Mary Virginia Richard.
Pallbearers will be Perry Richard, Kristopher Richard, Charles Edward Rutley II, Ryan Perry Watson, Cameron Elijah Watson, and Aaron Watson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Celestine, Joseph D. Richard, Joseph W. Richard, Brandon Celestine, Dalaneous Celestine, Lucas Sam, Rodney Dickens, Dahaven Celestine, and Trae Richard.
