Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 pm on Saturday, July 6, 2019, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia for Christine Huval Dugas, 50, who passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at Lafayette General Medical Center.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 4:30 pm until 10:00 pm on Friday, and continue on Saturday at 7:00 am until 11:30 am.
A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Friday.
Rev. Gregory Cormier will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial. Readers will be Kayla Moffett and Jenna Dunne. Gift bearers will be Cheryl Bourque and Stacey Dugas.
Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia.
Christine was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend. She was employed with Lafayette General Medical Center as a Registration Representative for 17 years. In her spare to time, she enjoyed reading, playing pool, and taking trips to her favorite place, the beach. Christine loved her family dearly and cherished her moments spent with them. She will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her loving husband of 16 years, Kevin Dugas; son, Braegan Huval and fiancé Kayla Moffett; grand puppy, Luna; sisters, Dana Huval and fiancé Jackie Landry, Lisa Hebert and husband Kim and Michelle Angelle; brothers, Jeremy Angelle and Troy Angelle; nephews, Jerran Angelle and Jarrod Hebert and his wife Katie; one niece, Jenna Dunne and her husband Steven; and her great nephews, Knox and Cruz Hebert.
She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Lloyd Huval; mother, Verlie Brasseaux Angelle; and her in-laws, Jay and Louella Dugas.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Angelle, Troy Angelle, Jerran Angelle, Jarrod Hebert, Kim Hebert, and Jay Dugas.
