Christopher Joseph Olivier, Sr.

New Iberia - A gathering of family and friends will be on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Christopher Joseph Olivier, Sr., 56, who passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 in New Iberia. Interment will be at a later date. A resident of New Iberia, Mr. Olivier was born on December 25, 1959 in Pierre Part, and had worked as a welder in the oilfield for Gulf Island Fabricators, Omega, and several other companies. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, drag racing, doing mechanic work, and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his son, Christopher Joseph Olivier, Jr. of New Iberia; brother, Jimmy Olivier and wife Lucy of Belle River; sisters, Carrie Mabile and husband Thomas of Pierre Part, Judy Rivere and husband Abner of Belle River; step daughter, Donielle Frederick of New Iberia; step son, Dustin Frederick, Sr. of Dulac; companion, Dolores Louviere of New Iberia; special friend, Angela "Angie" Frederick of New Iberia; and grandchildren, Ayden Joseph Bourque and Aylsa Bourque. He was preceded in death by father, Evans Joseph Olivier, and mother, Marie Effie Aucoin Olivier.
