BreauxBridge - Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., on Monday, October 17, 2011, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Christy Agnes Dugan Belaire, 65, who passed away on Friday, October 14, 2011 at Regional Medical Center of Acadiana. Fr. Donald Pousson will officiate at the funeral Mass. Gift Bearers will be her grandchildren. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Mrs. Belaire enjoyed reading, gardening, and most especially loved taking care of her family. Her favorite time of year was Christmas - it was a time when all of her family came together to celebrate life and count their many blessings. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many and will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her. Survivors include her loving husband of 49 years, Lee Roy Belaire of Breaux Bridge; two sons, Kenneth Belaire and wife, Susan, and Patrick Belaire and wife, Janice; two daughters, Eunice Frederick and husband, Troy, and Christyal 'Peanut' Chiasson and husband, Dane, all of Breaux Bridge; her brother, Ernest Dugan, Jr. and wife, Diane, of St. Martinville; her sister, Helen Warren and husband, Hanzs, of New Iberia; six grandchildren, Danielle, Jordy, Jamie, Kayla, Garrett, and Victoria; and one great grandchild, Adam Harrison, Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Dugan, Sr. and Eunice Roseberry Dugan. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Sunday and continue on Monday at 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Sunday. Pallbearers will be Troy Frederick, Dane Chiasson, Garrett Chiasson, Jordy Belaire, Jamie Belaire, and Adam Harrison. Honorary pallbearers will be Ernest Dugan, Jr. and Francis Dubois.
