Ciara Marie Batiste

Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2007, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, in Breaux Bridge, for Ciara Marie Batiste, 13, who died on Friday, October 26, 2007 at her residence, in Breaux Bridge. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2, in Breaux Bridge. Fr. James Fallon, pastor of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, will conduct the funeral service. Ciara had aspiring dreams of becoming a fashion model. ?She was a loving child who was so full of life and fun. Survivors include her father, Alvin Alex; her grandmothers, Mary Alex, of Cecilia, and Mary Carol Batiste, of Breaux Bridge; three brothers, Alvin Batiste, Leroy Batiste, and Larry Batiste; and three sisters, Debricka Batiste, Narra Ann Batiste, and Shamorrow Batiste, all of Breaux Bridge. She was preceded in death by her mother, Brenda Batiste; her grandfathers, Willis Alex and Leroy Sylvester; her brother-in-law, John Williams, Jr.; and her uncle, Leroy Joseph Batiste. The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Friday and continue at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Friday evening. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
