Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, December 1, 2008, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Clarence Paul Blanchard, 58, who passed away on Friday, November 28, 2008 at his residence in Breaux Bridge.
Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Rev. Louis Allen Breaux, Associate Pastor of St. Bernard Church, will conduct the services. Readers will be Dr. Kevin Blanchard and Kim Deshotel. Gift Bearers will be Kelly Blanchard and Dr. John Blanchard.
Clarence worked for Martin Chevrolet for 35 years. He was the family mechanic who was always there to lend a helping hand. He will be greatly missed by his family.
Survivors include his brothers, Steven Blanchard and his wife, Annie of Breaux Bridge, Terry Blanchard and his wife, Donna of Breaux Bridge, Early Blanchard and his wife, Cecile of Loreauville, and Lester Blanchard and his wife, Audrey of Youngsville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paulin and Norma Bijeaux Blanchard and his brother, Larry Blanchard.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 12:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 30, 2008 and continue at 7:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on Monday.
A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Pallbearers will be Kelly, Dr. John, Terry, Kevin, Kerry, Steven and Steve Blanchard and Phillip Deshotel.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
