Clarence "Jun" Hotard, Jr.

Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, November 29, 2020, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge for Clarence “Jun" Joseph Hotard Jr., 71, who passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2020. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 10:30 am until 8:00 pm on Sunday. Deacon Butch will officiate at the Funeral Service. Jun lived a simple life on his terms. He loved the Atchafalaya where he did his fishing, hunting, and living off the land. Jun's greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends, especially his wife of 52 years. He will be remembered for his knowledge of the Basin, and the obligation to continue the Cajun heritage. He is survived by his wife, Diane A. Hotard of Breaux Bridge; three daughters, Cassie A. (Rusty Persilver) Hotard of Charenton, Tonya M. (Dale Courville) Hotard of Butte La Rose, and Jennifer L. (Terry) Begnaud of Arnaudville; eleven grandchildren, Candice Hotard, Kirk "Brother" Anslem, Jr., Alexandra Duhon, Joel Anslem, Taylar Green, Trent Anslem, Katie Allen, Bryce Begnaud, Landon Green, Alayna Begnaud, and Ganon Green; and two godchildren, Pamela Guidry and Robyn Theriot. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Goldie Hotard, Sr., three sisters, Ruby Boudreaux, Marion Breaux, and Ruth Delahoussaye and his brother, Riley Hotard.
