Clarence "Ken" Joseph Guidry

Cecilia - A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, August 31, 2020, at Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia for Clarence "Ken" Joseph Guidry, 73, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2020 in Phoenix, Arizona. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9:30 am until 1:00 pm on Monday, August 31, 2020. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Ken was born November 19, 1946 to the parents of Aubrey and Agnes Guidry. He married Melissa (Missy) Savoy on June 12, 1965 and were married for 54 years before her passing on May 3, 2020. Ken was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Melissa (Savoy) Guidry. He is survived by his three children Kevin (Hope) Guidry of Cecilia, LA, Kellie (Darin) Landry of Cecilia, LA, and Kyle (Sue Ann) Guidry of Litchfield Park, AZ. Ken took great joy in his seven grandchildren: Gabrielle (Julian) Ardoin, Jordan Guidry, Peyton Landry, Grant Guidry, Nolan Guidry, Beatrice Guidry, and Elliot Guidry. Ken is also survived by his sister Yvette (Ronald) Campbell of Cecilia, LA. Ken made a career in the oil field world doing seismograph work both on and offshore. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who knew the Atchafalaya Basin as a second home. He also had a great love for sports but favored Cecilia High, Louisiana State University, and enjoyed following his Atlanta Braves. Ken was a proud Cajun man who loved and valued his family.
